The excursion will be based at Glenbrook Country Retreat, a 78ha environmentally focused chalet and camping property 5km South of the Margaret River town. Our host Cherie Hindle is an avid wildlife enthusiast. Many of the south-west endemic birds, including iconic white-tailed and red-tailed cockatoos are regularly present in the large reservation of forest on the property. Through decades of controlling cats and foxes and sensitive fire management, there is also abundant marsupial and bird life at night including Masked Owls that regularly help control rabbits.
