The excursion will be based at Glenbrook Country Retreat, a 78ha environmentally focused chalet and camping property 5km South of the Margaret River town. Our host Cherie Hindle is an avid wildlife enthusiast. Many of the south-west endemic birds, including iconic white-tailed and red-tailed cockatoos, are regularly present in the large reservation of forest on the property. There is also abundant marsupial and bird life at night including Masked Owls.
Attendees will need to plan to make your way to Glenbrook (approximately 3 hours drive from Perth) by after lunch on Saturday and, with the exception of a barbecue on Saturday evening, to self-cater for the weekend. During the trip, your hosts will showcase some of the delightful birdwatching hotspots of the region, with weather-dependent trips to wide-variety of coastal and forest sites, including local raptor centre Eagles Heritage.
Please sign up to attend the excursion here (but don’t forget accommodation will need to be booked separately).
