BirdLife Australia is excited to be co-hosting AOC2025, where professional and amateur ornithologists gather together every two years and exchange knowledge about birds (ornithology) and how we are helping to fight extinctions. I warmly welcome you to sunny Perth to enjoy the best of the west and hear about cutting edge science and conservation from throughout Australasia. Enjoy morning bird walks and meeting friends and colleagues from across the birdwatching world. We look forward to catching up with you soon.

Birds New Zealand is delighted to be co-hosting the Australasian Ornithological Conference 2025. This will be a great opportunity to continue discussions from Brisbane in 2023, and make new connections in Perth. I’m hoping that we will be able to showcase the outcomes of recent work on birds and their habitats from Aotearoa New Zealand, with plenty of opportunities for learning between our two countries. With a full programme of presentations and aligned events in development, I have no doubt that there will be something for everyone.
